Individual Psychotherapy

You may be looking for therapy because you want to feel better.  Perhaps, despite your awareness of the source of your current problems and your best efforts to change, you feel stuck.   Or, the origins of your discomfort may elude you.  Individual therapy is a place to examine and gain insight into the things that are bothering you.  We will explore and evaluate patterns of thinking, feeling and relating that you’ve developed over time, determining how to capitalize on your strengths while working to transform patterns that don’t serve you well.

I have been a psychotherapist for nearly 20 years and consider myself a generalist, familiar with and able to treat a broad range of presenting problems.  My areas of specialization include helping men and women navigate life transitions (e.g. college, relocation, parenthood, and loss) cope with depression and trauma, work through relationship issues and manage issues related to reproductive mental health (e.g. postpartum mood disorders, infertility, and pregnancy loss.)

Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.
